Nas vs Massive Attack – The Don
Nas vs Massive Attack I hear you say? Yup, Tim Goldsworthy has re-arranged Nas‘ track ‘The Don‘ against Massive attack. The out come? a chilled, eerie, low key affair with plenty still going for it. I will always love the original of The Don as the beat is crazy, but this is a well flipped edit non the less, and looks as if it’s got Nas‘ approval. Check it out…
Chamboché – Swatch
Juno ‘One to Watch’ Chamboché is a house producer and DJ based in London. He is also a promoter and resident at upstart Nottingham house and techno night Zleep.
His 2009 debut 12″ EP ‘Ipso Facto’ was the first release for Jiscomusic offshoot ‘Under The Shade’ and with the help of a genre-defining remix of ‘Feverish’ from The Revenge, secured pick of the week at Piccadilly Records and topped the sales charts at Phonica and Juno for several weeks. The success of this release culminated in it being featured in Tim Sweeney’s best of 2009 chart on Beats In Space and subsequently paved the way for several more EP’s on ‘Under The Shade’, which collectively garnered support from such varied artists as Ewan Pearson, Steve Bug, Amé, Tensnake, Horsemeat Disco, Jacques Renault, and Mugwump.
As a DJ, Sam williams aka Chamboché, brings a diverse taste of disco, house, techno as well as more bass-driven sounds. He’s played alongside DJs as varied as Andrew Weatherall, Jamie Jones, Erol Alkan, Shonky and James Holden, as well as at party’s across the UK and Europe.
With new music out on vinyl-only imprint TUSK Wax and ‘Under The Shade’ among others, as well the imminent launch of a new label, Chamboché is certainly worth keeping an eye on.
Here we have a new track from the man himself, ‘swatch’ is currently not signed to a label and is looking for a home. It showcases the sound Chamboché has come to develop over the years and is the perfect mix of subtleties. From its oddly satisfying groove to the sounds that slowly emerge, sitting perfectly somewhere between disco, funk, and deep house.
Incase you were hiding under a rock, and missed his Smokescreen EP release, then you can find it here. There is also a killer remix from Bicep of it too. Make sure you check it out here.
MANIK Into The Night Rework of The Weeknd – Trust Issues
Manik has just released the 4th installment of his Edit Series, and you should make sure you download this quick, as the Neon Indian Rework/Edit maxed out in only a few days. Once the 1000 downloads have been reached you won’t be able to get it, unless I put it up for download on here, but thats not going to happen. I’ve also included his other edits from the past year, Enjoy…
PBR Streetgang – At Dez E.P.

As residents at We Love at Space Ibiza PBR Streetgang have carved a niche as a classy DJ double act as adept at backroom disco sets or terrace filling house tear ups, all delivered with a slice of funk.
PBR Streetgang’s debut 2020 EP follows up their ‘Downstroke’ release for Hot Creations, a huge throbbing low-slung houser indebted to Mike Dunn’s classic ‘God Made Me Phunky’.
The EP ‘At Dez’ continues the vibe of their last release, with all tracks dripping with a funk infused sleazy house flavour. Much like their DJ sound, PBR Streetgang have now found a trademark production style that utilises their love of body shaking basslines, crisp beats, quirky samples and a unifying groove. Be sure to grab the 4 track release here.
