I’m sure the Festival was immense, but this is a nice animation/musical tune that is done to some mesmerising visuals… Enjoy

Our man Spam Chop is taking Wigflex to the masses of Manchester with an incredible line up. If you’re from Manchester go support a night that has spawned out of something special, and if you’re from Nottingham get on a train, bus, plane, bike, unicycle, or crawl over to Manchester for the night. Motor City Drum Ensemble is awesome. I think i’ve said everything i need to…
Big post coming up later tonight. Stay frosty
Summer time in Nottingham is usually a pretty dry season when it comes to music. Everywhere either closes or puts nothing that interesting on. So the one time when I’m not here because I couldn’t bear to endure a shit summer, someone goes and puts on this…
So if you’re in Nottingham this Summer then get down, or miss out on an incredible act.
Not new, but still pretty cool.
For more good graffiti stuff check out Evan Roth over at Ni9e where he occasionally hooks up with the graffiti research lab. Nice.
I have a monster post of tracks to post up in a little while, for now check these brilliant video’s out, Real nice.

X-Rays, The XX and sampled Dre Vocals, three excellent items. First up is Nick Veasey…
From A Boeing 747 to the mini cooper, Brit artist and X-ray boffin Nick Veasey has captured them all. Veasey uses a cargo scanner to make the images, some of which cost thousands of pounds to produce. Some amazing photos…. check them out here
I’ve always loved Bird Peterson’s stuff and this remix of his is no exception. I’d go as far as to say i want his ‘Nerd out wizard music’ (Scottie B remix) played at my funeral. The harp like strings and solid beat just brings a new vibe to Wale’s ‘Freaks’. Something i recommend everyone to bump on a sunny day cruising through Sneinton… and what?

The other day at fabric, Rinse FM celebrated their long overdue licence accreditation and their headline act was the focus of everyone’s attention. Skream, Benga and Artwork took to the stage in room one (the one with the balcony) to showcase new material from their forthcoming LP and it felt more like a concert than any other club gig I’ve ever witnessed. They seemlessly streamed through unheard (and so far mostly un-leaked) material until reaching current smash I Need Air, at which point Benga kindly warned us of what was about to be played; there was also a fitting build up for stand out track Perfect Stranger (ft. Katy B). Their sound is complex, innovative and original; quite simply some of the best dubstep I’ve ever heard. Although I do fear that (eventually) listening to the album will never compare to hearing them playing it live…
Their stage set up was very simple: a laptop each, Artwork had a/the mixer (I think) and Benga had two mics, one for PA and one for autotuned vocal ad-libs with Benga standing stage right, Artwork centre and Skream quietly doing his thing on the left. There was a Hawtin-esque LED curtain in front of them with a foot gap in the middle, enough to spot their bobbing heads and obvious enjoyment.
Go check out their dates and make sure you see them over summer or on tour!
I took some pics, they’re crap – like the phone they were taken on – but hopefully it gives you an idea of how the space was used and its atmosphere.
