Now for your smart phone
Jackmode doing it again.
I get a lot of promo releases delivered to my inbox but in reality a lot of them rarely cut the mustard. So when i got a little email from the guys over at Jackmode with a selection of bootlegs/remixes/a brand new track, i knew there was going to be at least one tune i was going to get hyped about. Thankfully my expectations were taken, examined, and then multiplied by 3.
So Please check out the following artists Camel, Homework, and Beware & Motorpitch if you like what you hear!
All the tracks are up for free download so jump on it, throw it on your ipod and never look back.

We’re all cheats and liars…

We’re not, but I was trying to get your attention! Nottingham based band Dog Is Dead have been creating quite a buzz in the past months with their self-described ‘complicated pop for Jazz-junkies and choir-folk’
With their two singles supported by excellent videos from friend of Fresh out of Death Peter Banks (see his latest video exclusively on NME.COM)
It’s always interesting to see what other people would do with your music – and so they made the stems to Glockenspiel Song available for a remix. Here’s what I came up with >>
Dog Is Dead – Glockenspiel (Whole Sick’s ‘Cheats & Fires’ Remix) by wholesick
As always, I want to know what you think !!
Kasper Bjorke – Alcatraz (Jimpster Dub)
We all know the Alcatraz remix done by Zombie Disco Squad, but do we know the jimpster dub? Missed this the first time around but it sure holds a funky melodic groove to it.
Sorry about the lack of substantial posts at the moment, as our internet is down for a week and a half. This leads me nicely on to tell you to never go with BT, as they are the worst company known to man. If you think i’m exaggerating then I haven’t stressed my point enough to you. I just hope you don’t die of old age whilst being on hold. XF3JE9QWVSZC
High or Low?
There’s some incredible music out there right now (broad statement huh?) – really feeling Janelle Monáe’s album right now, and the video for Tightrope is pretty special >>
Heres Riva Starr’s remix of Cajmere’s ‘Perculator’ track, out August 30th 2010. It’s not easy taking a classic and brilliant track and remixing it into something new. Good Job Mr Starr.
CAJMERE _PERCOLATOR_(RIVA STARR CUT) 112kbps by Rivastarr
Anyway… Its sunday, its a time to relax, i’m taking a break from anymore music today, and delivering up a platter of visual orientated stuff for your enjoyment instead. Give your brain a rest and check some of this out… (edited down when site was totally re-updated onto new server)
The Cactus E.P. / Radio Freq
First up we have Justin Martin and Galen dropping the Cactus E.P. Loving the track Dust Devil with its low end spectrum of drum patterns and switch up in groove. Tumbleweed in all honesty puts me on edge, with its continuing piano stabs through out building and building but never giving me the release! Like to see how this one works in the clubs as track 5 in a 6 track build up. Have a listen and go cop the E.P. over here.

Next up is a 7 year old Dead Prez track that has recently been bought to my attention again. Download this shit and turn it up loud.

Music Sounds Better (When It’s Slowed Down 800%)
Some of you might have already seen / heard this floating around the internet. I’m not really interested in the arguments over who originally did this, but a guy called Shamantis is claiming it. The title is says it all. Justin Bieber – U Smile (800% Slower)
It’s a now 35 minutes long and has become a haunting / eerie / dramatic / orchestral piece. With over 350,000 plays – I’ll let you decide what you think…
Zombie Disco Squad – We Should Bang Tonight
Nice to see a switch up in style from the ZDS boys, with Spoek dropping vocals on the track. Remixes come straight from the Deadfish camp with Mowgli and Solo working their stuff. Its going straight in my arsenal of records when its released…. but for now, lets take it back to Chicagoooo….

Great Lengths
An incredible album, I’ll let this short do the talking…
